Overview

Kellogg’s partnered with celebrity chef Christina Tosi to develop recipes featuring fun new ways to eat their cereal. The goal of the campaign was to raise awareness of the products and generate sales at BJ’s stores.

User Experience

The banner opens with HTML 5 animation flowing through product shots and brand messaging, and ending with a CTA to learn more. When the user taps the banner, the expanded panel opens. The panel features a swipeable gallery of recipes along with a link to the recipe landing page. When tapping on the Find Store button, the user is taken to the BJ’s store locator.

Results

The campaign drove strong performance with an overall First Action rate of 0.78%, well exceeding the industry average of 0.28%.

  1. The average post-expansion interaction time was 12 seconds for the expandable units, indicating strong user interest in engagement
  2. The expandable units drove a total 13,618 gallery swipes, resulting in a strong interaction rate of 48.66%
